Stuff and Event!

Hello, first some recent news.

We have a new game moderator, everybody say hello to netwerkkabel! This fine fellow will now guide you through our servers and also clean the mess of BAD players.

Absolute ranking tables are now back. Relative system is staying the main one, but since absolute is gathered too anyway, we returned the links on the website.

WIKI is now connected with our user database. In case you want to contribute to it, write some guide for quest or city bulder games, you can log in with your Novapolis account there.

And finally. We would like to throw some special event, this time it will be FIRS citybuilder, probably 6h. The event page will be opened with more detail soon in the sign up page.

You can throw some ideas about the event on the forum.

A checklist

We made a great deal in so little time, let's recap:

- we purchased a new server and installed some viable stuff

- 9 servers running non-stop with no crashes

- facebook page created

- website improved, especially forum

- new wiki created again, we thank to Frank of the BTPro servers for providing us with old Luukland wiki backup

- we prepared "Novapolis" OpenTTD patched client with some candy sweet features

- we are making daily backups of all data, no more nightmares!

- we are successfully gathering funds => thanks to many generous folks we will be online at least for 4 more months!

- and most important - WE CONTINUE!

Alas, not everything is so pinky and we miss some points to be the best OpenTTD server ever.

We miss:

- players - indeed, there is not much players around, which makes games less competitive. Also it is bad as we are running this vaudeville for you guys

- moderators - 24/7 moderating is a history, admins are busy with maintenance, and we have only two moderators who are here seldom anyway. Every player with high moral standards who is around more is welcomed to apply for moderating rank!

- more developers - servers are fully functional with lots of features, but there are always ideas that could push it futher. Let us know if you are able to help with development

Hope you like our servers, after all, they are much the same as old Luukland's.

Novapolis client

Hi, we can not stay behind other goal server communities of OpenTTD and so we also prepared a public client.

It is rather just a OpenTTD patchpack, which contains several patches that can be helpful for City Builder. Also most of these patches are freely available on TT Forums, but we added extra Novapolis GUI for commands and some script aliases (if you dont know what this is, read included text file).

Have fun on Novapolis with or without this client.

Binary is downloadable from our Downloads section.

Echoes of the future

Hello, we made some minor improvements.

We fixed some quests like Lending market, where you had to accomplish stuff before next year (update will be online tomorow morning).

And we added some more city builder stuff into Town Window, namely, growth state, reason of not growing and next cargo requirement. The goal gui is not working properly now, but it will after night updates ;-)

Unfortunately cargo delivery cannot be displayed there due to GS limitations.

Furthermore, we decided to get in touch with other big goal server communities and we will make some public OpenTTD client with improvements towards gameplay, especially citybuilder. Stay tuned
